I will state them and then explain the rationale, and provide an update. All positions are winnners so far:

The following positions were entered into:

1. Sell EUR/USD in area of 1.5760
2. Buy half position size of Nasdaq 100 tracking EFT (NDX index, NQ futures contract)

Position 2 is up in after hours.

Position is up 40 PIPS as I type this. Thefore great money in short time.

How did I think? The price moves to find buyer (on the way down and sellers on the way up). That is what it did today for equities (sell off) and buying of EUR/USD.

Now if I can time where the stronger sellers of EUR/USD are, it means that I can predict a rebound of the dollar (even if for just few hours).

Rebound of dollar is perceived as bearish for commoditities, and since the market is worried about inflation, this will be a signal for sellers of stocks to move to the side and possibly encourage some bargain hunters.

This means the morning session of tomorrow Friday would see an upmove, and I will sell my position in that upmove, and then short when I see weakness.

As for the EUR/USD it is already making 40 pips which is $400 on each lot a trader can open.

There are other reasons for going long the stock market and shorting eur/usd which are rooted in some trading secrets I possess.

I will be glad to share with you these secrets and include you in my by invitation only blog. Just send me an email to:

stocksprofessor@gmail.com

Empty emails are fine, but feel free to write what you please.

Happy trading,

PS:

I will be glad to share with you these secrets and include you in my by invitation only blog. The reason that they have to buy it is that they are selling their stock portfolios since we are in a bear market. Smart money mainly shorts stock in a bear market, and therefore they do not need the Yen to fund their stock market operations.

Therefore the trade is to buy the Yen.

Now against which currency?

It should be against the currency which is the weakest (in the future ) against the dollar. Two currencies come to mind: Euro, the Pound, the swissie, in addition to the canadian dollar and the aussie.

I would however give for the currency that has the lowest interest rate.

For that reason to trade the Yen, I am bearish on the following pairs:

1. EUR/JPY
2. CHF/JPY

Happy trading,

PS: I have some money secrets and ideas to share with you. Like any business, there are rules to follow and systems to establish to make money.
If you want to trade or invest, you should understand that you are in business. Therefore you have to learn to build and run a trading and investing business.

The question you should pose is a different question than the one I posed in the title. That is: How to make money in the stock market PARTICULARLY when others are losing their shirts?

Remember that the only reason you buy and sell stocks is to make money. But you need the right methods, tools, and strategies before you make your move.

To be successful you need to learn:

1. I was not sure how it would come out, but it turned out to be great. I called it the "perfect trade". I sold EUR/USD at the top, and I am sad that I am considering to close the trade. It made me 300 pips in just few days.

The image of the trade.

I have not closed the trade yet, but I am heading now to the account to close it or to put a stop.

I decided not to play the game of going in and out trading it on shorter time scale. Instead I held for multiple days. It paid.

Conclusion: If you hold longer, you will make more. More pips, with less effort, and less time spent in front of a computer, and less problems with your trades being stopped out.

Long live the dollar (when I am holding it). And long live any currency you are currently holding long of.

Before I leave you, visit these two sources of information:
1) a free trading course that you may find useful:

Click to Read Forex Trading Course
2) A lesson that was useful in the perfect trade discussed in this note:
Click to Read Lesson

Happy trading,

Some Say "If Oil Gets Smacked Down, Stocks Will Run". Is it true? Read to find out the answer!

I was visiting a trading forum yesterday. The forum is well known hanging place for the elite (at least they call themselves that way) traders. The topics covered everything about trading including stocks trading, futures trading, options trading, and forex trading (currency trading).

A thread was titled with a question, and the answer to the question. The answer given in that thread is wrong (and is the reason I am writing this note), and what was suprising is how many traders/participants seem not to have understand that the answer is wrong.

"If Oil Gets Smacked Down, Equities Will Run" that was the title. (For those not familiar with the term "equities", it is a fancy way to refer to buying stocks).

One would think that the above is correct and straightforward. But it is not. Probably people think the above is correct because they may think that if oil prices go down, it will cost cost businesses less to operate. Yes this is true, but the market is not about how much it costs, but how much money is made from a business operation.

In a word, the market cares about earnings. When the market is rising, it is predicting higher earnings.

But go back to the stock market over the last few years, and you will find increasing earnings are mainly from commodity related businesses.

If the price of oil goes down, it means that businesses in the energy and oil sectors will make less money (meaning their earning will decrease).

And with decreasing earning, the price of stocks will decline. That is called a bear leg.

The stock market is counter-intuitive sometimes, even for traders who put themselves among the elite.

By the way my current vision over the next one and half year is this: higher dollar, lower stock market, and lower commodity prices.

I will explore why the above vision is likely correct, and how to play that vision out for maximum profits.

Let me know what you think of this post by writing your comments, and views.

Stocks Professor (Sometimes I will sign as SP).

PS: I will be glad to share with you some trading secrets that made me good money. email me at stocksprofessor@gmail.com .
